A collaboration between the Speed Museum and Kentucky Opera, Sights & Sounds is a unique program in a musical, visual and historic context. Studio Artists perform selections from the featured opera.
Kentucky Opera and the Louisville Orchestra present a concert version of Tchaikovsky’s final opera, Iolanta. Jorge Mester leads this company premiere and inspirational love story of a blind princess who finds both her sight and her true love. What better way to end the season than with a beautiful love story and happy ending?
Internationally-acclaimed soprano Anna Shafajinskaia performs Iolanta with additional artists from the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia.
