Chorus Auditions
Kentucky Opera has cast all choristers for the Brown-Forman 2011.12 Season.

2012.13 Studio Artists Announcement
Kentucky Opera is auditioning for the 2012.13 Studio Artist Program. Each year, a minimum of four singers are chosen to be Resident Studio Artists.

Studio Artists participate in mainstage productions covering roles, performing comprimario roles, and singing in the chorus. Studio Artists participate in masterclasses with guest artists, the Composer Workshop, perform principal roles in the Owensboro KY, Bowling Green KY and Lafayette, IN performances, and perform outreach events and educational programs.

The program runs August 27 through November 18, 2012 with a break in December; returning on January 21, 2013 through February 17, 2013 (this schedule depends on contracted roles and is subject to change). Curriculum components can include acting classes, recitative workshop, the business of opera (tax information, auditions, head shots, resumes), stage combat and mock auditions.  For information on the 2012.13 season, please e-mail deanna_hoying@kyopera.org.

Auditions will be held:
        • December 1, 2011 at CCM (Cincinnati, OH)
            • December 6, 2011 at AVA (Philadelphia, PA) – afternoon only
            • December 7, 2011 at AVA (Philadelphia, PA)

Application Deadline: Friday, October 7, 2011

Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.  All applicants will be pre-screened prior to awarding a live audition.  Notification of audition status will begin no later than Monday, November 7, 2011.
