Artistic Excellence Sponsors – ensuring the highest quality at Kentucky Opera!
Kentucky Opera is making great strides, raising the bar of artistic quality for every production we create at the Brown Theatre. We spend countless hours searching for the best and the brightest in opera today to present the highest standards of quality possible every time we raise the curtain. Maintaining a level of quality is never enough for an organization with as rich an artistic heritage as ours. We must be able to compete for the top artists. We must reach for the highest standard of quality possible. If we want to enhance our reputation and build our audience, we must create additional funding opportunities to reach our artistic goals.
Barbara Sandford, a long time friend of Kentucky Opera, agreed to help us reach this goal by serving as Chair of our Campaign for Artistic Excellence. As a past President of the Board of Trustees, Barbara knows well that our future is ensured not simply in meeting but exceeding our artistic goals. Barbara and Halsey Sandford also made the initial contribution to establish the Fund for Artistic Excellence.
We thank all of you who have joined our Campaign for Artistic Excellence, helping us bring quality artists to Kentucky. As an Artistic Excellence sponsor, your gift has been dedicated to sponsor an individual role or artist in one of Kentucky Opera’s productions of The Brown- Forman 2009 Fall Season. You will also have opportunities to build a special relationship with your sponsored artist through invitations and visits during the artist’s stay in Louisville.
It is not too late to be part of our Campaign for Artistic Excellence. If you would like to join our Campaign for Artistic Excellence please contact. If you do not have a particular artist or role you wish to sponsor, you may become an Artistic Excellence Fund Donor by making an undesignated gift to the Fund for Artistic Excellence. It is critical that we grow this pool of money to be used by the General Director as needed to bring in top- flight artists in future productions. Please support the Fund for Artistic Excellence in whichever manner you prefer.
